Time 4 Learning Review

We have recently completely one month of Time 4 Learning and would like to share our opinions of the program.

I used the program with our 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter.  Both children found the program to be fun but way too easy.  Time4Learning does have the flexibility of moving the students up a level if they need to so if we continued with this program we would definitely have to move up.  Since we already have a complete curriculum our children we simply using Time4Learning as supplemental learning while I worked with the other child.

This program would not be a good fit for us as a core curriculum.  I really need to be able to touch a book, thumb through it, see what we are working on, etc.  I also prefer to work more directly with the kids and not use the computer as our main teacher.  It works great for us as a supplement, but is not affordable for that use.

I can see this being a good resource for someone who is a little intimidated by curriculum/teaching, but not for us.

These are entirely my own opinions.  The content of this post was not written by Time4Learning, but I was compensated for this review.

Dr. Seuss

The past two weeks have been all about Dr Seuss and we have had so much fun!  We read every Dr Seuss book we own (24) plus a few from the library.  We watched Horton Hears a Who, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and went to the movies to see the Lorax.  We made green eggs and ham for dinner one night.

We made these cute pop up crafts.

We made YUMMY Cat Hat Cookies (oreos dipped in white chocolate topped with a large marshmallow dipped in red candy coating).

 Horton Hears a Who Craft

These are Grinch cookies and they were HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!  Not sure if something was printed wrong in the recipe I used or if I goofed somehow, but they went in the trash!
Cat Hat pancake stack.  The strawberries didn't turn the batter as red as I hoped, but they sure were delish!
Favorite Craft of the week!  They also wrote a SHORT story to go with their picture.  We have a LONG way to go on story development!

We had a Dr Seuss birthday party at the library.
This Lorax craft was also a lot of fun.
