Morris Museum of Art

The Morris Museum of Art in downtown Augusta, GA is free on Sundays and one Sunday a month they have a children's activity.  We finally decided to try it out.  I was amazed at how much the kids enjoyed walking through the galleries while we waiting for the program to begin.

The program was local authors sharing their books.  Afterwards the kids were invited to create their own book and bookmark.

The last story was called Oliver Vance, Pull Up Your Pants.  Here is Hannah posing with Oliver.  This was their favorite story of the day.
They both had fun making bookmarks.  They didn't want to write a story while there, but they brought books home to create later.  Hannah has been crafting a beautiful story all week.
The weather was fantastic and the museum is right along the river so we enjoyed a walk by the water.
Hannah was pleased to pose with her bookmark.
