ITTY BITTY BOOKWORM
Our book focus this week was WHERE IS THE GREEN SHEEP by Mem Fox. We didn't do much with the theme this week, but we did do these two crafts.
MCRUFFY PHONICS- KINDERGARTEN
Caleb (lessons 136-140) The spelling list was tough this week (quack,quake, quick, quit, quill) but by the end of the week he got them all right. He doesn't have any trouble reading these words, just remembering how to spell them.
Hannah (lessons 21-25) She continues to work on sounding out 3 letter words. She is a bit inconsistent, but still enjoys it. We will have to slow down a bit soon though or it will get to be too much for her.
MCRUFFY MATH- Kindergarten
Hannah (lessons 18-21) She worked on patterns, greater than/less than, and skip counting.
MCRUFFY MATH- First Grade
Caleb (lessons 128-131) estimating numbers, completing a chart, subtracting two-digit numbers, counting coins, tangrams, adding three numbers, rounding numbers
OTHER FUN
Hannah asked to take her training wheels off this week. I didn't think she was ready, but two days later she was riding by herself. I was very impressed! She is still a little nervous and sometimes has trouble getting started without a push, but for the most part is completely on her own!
